Fortnite Storytelling Episode 9

Real Life Hero aimed his parachute towards the cabin with the red umbrellas on top of the hill. He landed on the red-tiled roof. Without wasting a second he smashed one side with his sword and dropped inside.

He grabbed the pistol he found on the floor, removed all the gold from the register and smashed the floors for some wood. He checked outside for more guns, but he only found some more bullets. This was going to be tricky if he saw one of those humans who wanted to kill him, he thought.

With pistol in hand he slid down the cliff and jumped inside the small cabin a few meters away. Inside, a chest lay in the corner. In it, he found one more gun and some extra strength. Not great, but better, he thought.

Jogging ahead he saw his first human. The human was running with his back turned to him but without having a long range gun he could not take a shot. He ran after him from hill to hill without ever catching up with him.

With a couple of shotguns added to his arsenal and plenty of bandages he slowly jogged into the city. On the outskirts of the city he found a rifle. Finally, a gun he could use at a distance. He exchanged his revolver for it and moved ahead.

He could hear radio communications as he passed various command posts but otherwise it was quite here. So quiet he could hear his footsteps and the wind howling. A car engine broke through the silence. Real Life Hero stopped on the hill and observed the car. Had it been abandoned? He checked the nearby area. No one. He kept moving.

Before sliding down the hill into the heart of the city, he paused. He heard mechanical sounds coming from somewhere not too far from his position. A tank moving about, he thought. He looked for it but it was impossible to determine where it was.

He jogged inside the city, pausing and hiding behind walls to check out the area ahead. When the coast was clear he moved. That’s when he spotted another human on top of a low roof right in front of him.

The human was dressed in black but still clearly visible in the evening sky. Real Life Hero shot at him with his rifle. The human ran, avoiding all shots. He jumped down and started shooting at Real Life Hero with a shotgun.

Real Life Hero’s heart beat faster. He went to switch guns but grabbed the medical kit instead. He threw the kit at the shooter. The shooter didn’t even flinch. He kept shooting at him.

Real Life Hero grabbed his shotgun and took a few good shots, injuring his killer-wannabe, but it was too late. One final shot and he was dead.

Until tomorrow.
