Real Life Hero watched as black smoke spiraled in the air farther away. Sirens wailed in the distance but it was quiet in the green patch of land where he was. He landed on the roof of a blue house and smashed the wood with his sword.

He searched every room gathering ammo, med supplies and guns. Outside he gathered some berries and stood on the hill with the yellow flowers to scout the area. A gas station lay ahead.

He checked through the scope as he approached. It looked deserted. At the gas station he heard gunshots far away. He grabbed a drum shotgun he liked and climbed up on the roof.

What was that sound? A helicopter?

Real Life Hero looked up at the blue sky. Purple clouds surrounded the area but nothing else. He climbed down and searched the place. He was at the station area when he saw an enemy running around inside the gas station.

He aimed but couldn’t get a good shot.

The enemy fired a few blind shots.

Real Life Hero stood at the corner, using the wall as cover.

He heard footsteps, then a door swinging open. The enemy must be inside, he thought.

He moved inside the gas station just in time to see the door closing.

Sword sounds. He must be trying to get away through the wall, he thought.

Real Life Hero turned the doorknob. The door creaked open and he marched inside, firing his machine gun.

The two shooters came face to face, shooting.

Real Life Hero was clinging to life.

Is this it? Again? he thought, as another small room encounter with an enemy flashed before his eyes.

No. The enemy disappeared into a blue light spreading all his belongings on the floor.

Real Life Hero picked up a crown from the floor and put it on. The little thing shone on his head giving him a saintly glow. He grabbed a shield keg and smashed it. As he bathed in the blue strengthening liquid he used his only medical kit to bandage himself back to full health.

Feeling better, he went outside and searched the garage. Here he heard footsteps. Someone was approaching.

He crouched down and waited, machine gun in hand.

The enemy, a pig-tailed blond person appeared from the side, running.

Real Life Hero pulled the trigger.

After getting hurt, Pigtails ran away. Real Life Hero followed behind.

That helicopter sound hovered above his head again. He looked up but still couldn’t see anything. Explosions brightened the evening sky a few meters away. He ran towards the light.

Where was Pigtails? He hid in a bush.

An enemy jumped from behind a tree and shot him. Real Life Hero lost half his strength.

He fired once with his shotgun and killed the enemy. Was it Pigtails? He couldn’t tell.

He was at the perimeter of the safe zone when he spotted a tank not too far away.

Better not take a shot at it, he thought and ran in another direction.

An enemy dressed in a yellow suit and matching hat was running towards him.

Real Life Hero fired at him with his machine gun as yellow-man slid down the small hill.

Yellow-man must have fired at him dozens of times. He only hit him once just before he evaporated into a blue light.

Once he was in the city, Real Life Hero climbed on a roof and scouted the area. He spotted an enemy running in the street.

He aimed with his burst rifle and fired. Another enemy down.

He moved to even higher ground and looked around. Here he spotted another enemy moving about the city. He took a shot at the sprinting figure, but missed.

He saw another one on the gas station roof across from him, or was it the same one? He couldn’t tell. He fired at the crouched figure.

The enemy moved away and built cover.

Real Life Hero looked through his scope. The enemy must have climbed down, he thought.

Then one of the gas pumps exploded. He fired at the next one and caused another explosion. He sat and watched as the fire spread just in case the enemy reappeared. Nope. He must be long gone by now, he thought. He turned around and checked the area behind him.

Here on a small green hill by a tree he spotted another enemy.

Real Life Hero fired, hitting him.

The enemy built cover and moved farther away.

Real Life Hero could barely see him through his scope. This must be over 100 meters, he thought as the enemy looked more like a stick figure. He fired anyway.

Most hits landed. Soon the enemy was nothing but a disappearing blue light.

Real Life Hero climbed down. The storm was approaching and he had to move out if he didn’t want to be caught in it. He was about to jump down on the ground when he heard footsteps nearby. He stood on the ledge and looked around.

A bullet flew past his head.

Not being able to spot the shooter, Real Life Hero jumped down the building and sprinted away in the opposite direction.

He swam across the river and was running up a green hill when a heavy engine sound alerted him. A metal blue bus ran past him down the hill, in the water, and out on the other side, speeding away.

Real Life Hero took a few shots at the tires before the bus disappeared.

Inside the small safe zone he climbed up a roof and looked for enemies. He spotted one on the road not too far away.

He pulled the trigger.

He hit him once but then the enemy ran and rolled left and right making it difficult to aim.

Seconds later, the enemy calmed down. He was walking sideways now. He must be preparing to shoot, Real Life Hero thought.

He got up and jumped off the roof.

He heard the gunshot as the bullet hit nearby.

Real Life Hero sprinted away and took cover behind some rocks. Here he looked for the enemy again.

He spotted him near the bus and took a shot, hitting him.

Real Life Hero watched through his scope as the enemy built strong cover near the bus. I must get closer, he thought. He slid down the hill and sprinted towards the bus.

He was close now. Just then the caped enemy appeared from behind the red brick wall.

Real Life Hero fired at him with his shotgun.

The hits landed but so did the enemy’s.

Real Life Hero felt a sharp pain in his heart as he was reloading his gun. This pain felt different. Had he ran out of lives? His consciousness slowly slipped away from him. He would never know.

He was dead.
