Fortnite Storytelling Episode 29

Real Life Hero steered his parachute past the large crater and landed on the roof of a metal structure. He grabbed the shotgun lying at his feet and smashed the bricked roof to drop down. Why use the stairs when you can smash your way through?
The room he fell into was noisy with radio communications. The sound buzzed in his ear like a confused bee. He destroyed the computers with his sword and then moved to the lower floor in search of more guns.
Here he found a large black box. He looked inside. Jackpot, he thought. He grabbed a bunch of guns, ammo and small jars of that blue liquid that made him feel stronger.
Outside, standing over a shotgun, he felt his brain rattle. It was as if all his senses had been hacked. A message materialized before him.
“Help the seven reclaim Tilted Towers,” it said.
The area he was supposed to go and help was a grenade’s throw away. Why not? He thought and moved forward.
He climbed up a semi-destroyed command post and looked through his burst rifle’s scope. He spotted several enemy guards. From his vantage point he took his time to aim and shoot.
One guard down. Four to go.
He hurt another one and killed a second guard.
The guards moved back, away from his line of vision.
Another sharp pain shot up from his heart to the top of his head.
Another message materialized.
“Stage one complete. Continue to push back the guards,” it said.
When the pain silenced, he jumped down from the platform and moved closer to the gunfight between the two sets of guards.
He crouched inside a crater and watched the guards through the scope. He saw three or four.
He aimed for the lead’s head and fired.
He missed.
There were five guards now.
He fired again.
More misses than hits but this was a safe spot.
He pulled the trigger again. The sound of a dry click made his heart skip a beat. He was out of ammo.
He turned back, away from the fight and looked for some more bullets. He saw a burst rifle lying on the ground just like the one he was holding. He grabbed it and some extra bullets and ran back towards the fight.
Up a small hill and a good distance away from the guards he crouched down and began shooting.
He took a few shots but then he felt an sharp on his torso. This wasn’t another message. It was a bullet. He was barely alive.
Real Life Hero turned and sprinted away. This was no guard gunshot. No. It was another enemy, a civilian like him.
He jumped as bullets flew past him. Mid-air he felt a sharp pain travelling through his body. A bullet lodged in his head. He was dead.
Until tomorrow.
