Fortnite Storytelling Episode 27

Real Life Hero, his hair smelling of popcorn, prepared to land on a spaceship hovering a few feet above the ground. Down below he could see a white trailer wedged on a rock, the only thing preventing it from sliding down the steep hill to the cold river.

It was chilly up here and the guards were put on alert as soon as the soles of his feet touched the cold metal. Real Life Hero grabbed a burst rifle and some bullets and prepared to avoid the fight. He looked through the openings but couldn’t see the guards, only hear them.

I’ve got some time, he thought. He jumped inside a small opening and got control of a cannon. He fired at the nearby spaceship. It was too far to do any damage. The explosion hit nothing but air. He fired one more time to feel the thrill of being safe and in charge.

At the last moment he turned the cannon to the side and part of the blast hit the side of his spaceship. His vision was blurred and his head hurt. Time to go, he thought. He dropped down the lowest level of the spaceship under the sound of gunfire. He spotted two guards outside. No way getting past those, he thought. He turned around looking for a different exit.

Bullets flew past his head as he went up the stairs to the first level. One, no two guards were shooting at him. A bullet caught him in the arm. Adrenaline helped him deal with the pain but nothing could take away the feeling of being trapped.

Real Life Hero used the staircase to his right to avoid the guards. The second level was clear but the guards followed him. The guards on the ground started shooting too. Another bullet hit him. Was he going to die on this damn ship?

Real Life Hero tried to climb higher but fell to the ground instead, hitting his leg. He found the strength to sprint away. That was close. Just ahead he found a fire pit. He lit a fire. The heat felt good against his skin. He stood by the fire as the flames helped him replenish his health.

The fire died down just as he was feeling better. He chopped some wood with his sword and tried to light another one, but couldn’t. He had to make due with whatever strength he had. For a moment he felt dizzy again. That blast really messed with my head, he thought.

He was eating some berries he found up a hill when a bullet missed him. A sniper? He looked around. The enemy wasn’t that far away. He fired back at him. The enemy jumped around.

Real Life Hero missed, again and again.

The enemy used a jetpack to fly closer.

Real Life Hero shot him. The enemy landed and slashed him with a red laser sword.

Real Life Hero moved away, shooting him with his revolver.

The enemy stepped closer and sliced him one more time.

Real Life Hero dropped to his knees, a blue light appearing above him. He was dead.

Until tomorrow.
