Oil swirled around him and popcorn flew away from him as Real Life Hero skydived against the wind. That smells nice, he thought as he got a sudden urge to watch a movie. But no, once again, he had to fight.
A blue fabric with pink edges opened up as he got closer to the ground. It was tied to a yellow metal wing on each side. Bye, bye spider sentinel, he thought. We had a good ride.
He landed amidst the trees. He picked up a pistol and moved ahead to search a chest. This was a rich land. Soon he was full of strength and carried four good guns. He was moving towards the safe zone when a cartoon character dressed in white fired at him. The target stood out between the green grass below and the purple sky above. Real Life Hero shot at cartoon-man with his rifle.
He hit him a few times, missed him a few more.
Cartoon-man moved sideways, shooting.
Real Life Hero grabbed his shotgun.
One shot.
Cartoon-man was dead.
Real Life Hero ran to the house nearby and searched it. After looting anything useful he got his Obi-wan sword and smashed half the house into pieces. This sword is powerful, he thought as he realized it was faster to demolish the house with Obi-Wan’s sword than it was with his standard sword.
Next he searched a crashed, destroyed ship, moving along the perimeter of the safe zone.
All was quiet until he walked inside the safe zone. Here he spotted an enemy hiding inside a brick shed.
Real Life Hero climbed up the roof of the shed and scouted the area. A yellow taxi that looked like a small monster car was circling the area. He tracked its movement, looking for a good shot.
After circling the nearby red house, the taxi stopped and the driver jumped out. Real Life Hero took his first shot.
That must have hurt, he thought as the bullet hit the taxi-driver. The enemy hid behind a wall but then reappeared, running and rolling towards him. Another good shot. A second shot and a third.
Real Life Hero reloaded his gun as the enemy remained dead on the grass a few meters away.
Now it’s time to take the fight to the hiding-man, he thought.
He jumped down.
Crouched, he stood to the side of the door and opened it.
He moved a step behind and had a peek inside the shed.
He entered.
No matter his careful approach, Real Life Hero failed to see the hiding-man in the corner.
Hiding-man shot him first with a shotgun.
Real Life Hero fired back with a machine gun.
Too late. He was dead.
Until tomorrow.
