All seemed peaceful in the town amongst the trees. Here, Real Life Hero landed a few meters away from the biggest wooden building in town. He stopped outside the building and picked up a Rift-To-Go before running up the stairs to the second floor.
He found a machine gun, ammo and a shotgun lying around. He grabbed all of it and prepared for battle as his ears perked up like a dog behind a fence looking for trouble. He heard two sets of footsteps. One set sounded calm. A character, he thought. The other was hurried. An enemy.
Real Life Hero crouched down and waited on top of the stairs. The footsteps moved closer. Someone was trampling on the floorboards below. The character, a chap named Ludwig, walked up the stairs, stopping a few steps away from the landing, blocking Real Life Hero’s path.
“I don’t want to talk to you, go away,” Real Life Hero said. Ludwig didn’t budge.
Real Life Hero jumped over him and down the stairs. Out the front doorframe he spotted an enemy. He was running away. Real Life Hero aimed his machine gun at the diminishing figure and fired.
The enemy turned and ran towards him.
Real Life Hero kept shooting. The enemy was eliminated, leaving behind a small pile of gold bars.
Explosions and shots fired sounded in the distance. Real Life Hero ran towards the sounds, climbing up the hill ahead of him.
As he climbed the hill, a couple of shots landed near him on the ground. He jumped up and hid inside some walls someone else had built for cover. From this point he saw the bullets coming from a shooter far away hidden somewhere on the hill facing him. He spotted the shooter running but with no long-range guns in his possession he was forced to run towards the shooter. He sprinted, bullets raining all around him as the shooter fired a machine gun from up the hill.
Another bullet missed his foot and hit the ground. Another enemy followed him from behind. He saw enemy number two hiding in the bush.
Fine, he thought. He took a few shots at the shooter as he immerged from the shrub. The machine gun wasn’t working well at such a distance, but when he switched the machine gun with a rifle he started hitting his target.
The enemy built some cover and ran into hiding again. Real Life Hero sprinted after him.
The shooter reemerged. Real Life Hero started shooting at him, getting closer and closer.
The shooter threw a grenade. Real Life Hero, gun drawn, walked closer.
The grenade rolled down the hill, too far away to cause any damage to anyone.
The shooter, who was wearing a puffy green jacket, threw another grenade. He was either too strong or the hill was too steep. The grenade rolled away.
Real Life Hero fired his gun. Puffy green jacket was dead.
The next town was just down the hill. Real Life Hero did some looting in the buildings here before an enemy in a black tracksuit, face hiding behind a black baseball cap, ran up to where his was and fired at him.
Real Life Hero shot back using his rifle.
Baseball-cap built some cover and ran way.
That’s weird, Real Life Hero thought. He’s probably hurt. He ran after him and hit him again. Baseball-cap slid down the hill.
Real Life Hero was about to jump after him when bullets flew past him from behind. He turned and saw a cartoon character shooting at him. He fired back. The cartoon was strong but Real Life Hero was a good shot. He killed the cartoon character but had no time to take a breather.
Bullets rained at him once again. He looked around. No one was near but the storm was fast approaching from behind.
Real Life Hero ran and kept on running as the storm’s approach was fast. He only stopped when he had gained some ground and found a blue chest. He searched it but hesitated to switch his rifle with the SMG he found inside.
That is until a bullet ricocheted on the metal barrier in front of him. He jumped over the barrier and ran in a circle to try to spot the shooter. Fog had enveloped the whole area, making hard to see. Real Life Hero ran away, farther into the island, away from the storm and hopefully the shooter.
He spotted a shooter in front of him but another bullet from behind hit the ground near him. He turned to look. Nothing. He moved ahead under the sound of gunfire and explosions farther ahead.
Another bullet passed his head and landed on the ground. Where is this damned marksman? he thought, scouting the area. He spotted the gun fighting enemies across the river but with a well-hidden shooter after him he decided to leave them be. Real Life Hero sprinted away, up another hill. He stood here as he watched another enemy a few meters farther ahead. He fired at him, missing.
Moving closer, Real Life Hero spotted the enemy as he ran behind a cabin. He ran towards the cabin and climbed up the roof. His rifle wasn’t the best weapon for this fight. It was difficult to find a good shot using the scope from such a close distance.
The enemy moved closer and up the roof and shot him with a shotgun. Real Life Hero was dead.
Until tomorrow.
