Real Life Hero saw a trail of concentrated air spiraling up the deep blue sky. He followed it, guiding his sentinel forward, his legs dangling in the air, swaying in the crisp evening air. He breathed in the few peaceful moments as he came closer and closer to the ground.

He landed on a treetop and jumped down to search the big house waiting unexplored in front of him. He found all kinds of guns and other goodies. Nice house, he thought as he searched the billiard room. The merlot red wallpaper, lit by a floor lamp next to a bookcase gave off a soothing old elegance to the small room with the wooden floors.

It was here, while drinking a big jar of blue liquid, he heard footsteps outside. Real Life Hero looked through the window. He saw movement followed by the sounds of an enemy trying to smash something, perhaps a wall or a floor, to gather materials for building.

He crouched down and exited the room. He backed to the corner next to the door and waited. The sound of footsteps traveled closer. He is just outside, he thought. But the sound changed direction and he looked around as he thought the enemy could surprise him from above.

Nope. The door opened and the pink-sweater-wearing enemy ran inside with a shotgun in hand. Real Life Hero shot at her with his revolver. The enemy tried to shoot at him without landing a hit. She hid behind the open door, switching her gun with her sword in a moment’s panic. Real Life Hero shot her one more time. She was dead.

Real Life Hero did some more looting and then headed to the next town, Shifty Shafts. He had just picked a drum shotgun when an enemy with very bad aim started shooting at him. He looked behind him. Up the hill, a black-dressed enemy moved about, firing his gun at him.

Real Life Hero took a few good shots with his SMG then walked closer waiting for a better shot. He took some hits but he was still very strong. When the enemy jumped up the hill again, Real Life Hero aimed, fired and shot him dead.

He ran around, exploring the town some more. On the ground he noticed a board. He looked closer and realized he could donate gold to finance more Rift-To-Go globes or Boogie Bombs. So that’s what happened that other time, he thought, clearly remembering with a mild heart palpitation increase the time when he was in a gunfight and he spontaneously burst into embarrassing disco dancing.

He went crazy and donated almost all of his gold to finance both weapons. When he was done he saw that with his irresponsible spending he had managed to litter the place with a whole lot of small blue liquid bottles. He left every single one of them on the dirt path by the board and moved along.

He sprinted away from the crime scene and swam in the sea nearby checking out someone else’s litter. He found a bunch of blue and one orange dead fish floating in the water, unwanted. How inconsiderate, he thought, leaving it all behind.

He had almost reached land when he noticed an Alpaca running around a bit farther away. Someone must be chasing it, he thought. He stopped and looked through his scope. Yup. An enemy was running after it. Real Life Hero fired at him. He stayed in the water and tracked his enemy’s movement. He had to move closer. He swam and once on land approached the shooter who was shooting at the animal like a drug-possessed soldier scared shitless.

Once he had eyes on the shooter, Real Life Hero got out his machine gun and started shooting non-stop. Crazy soldier was dead. But he didn’t go down without a fight. Real Life Hero was hit. All his protection was gone and half his life.

Real Life Hero drank a big jar of blue potion that was lying around to feel stronger and used a med-kit he the crazy soldier had dropped to replenish his life. He sprinted away as the storm approached and hid in a bush inside the safe zone.

He heard gunfire around him but all he could spot were some brick walls someone had built on the beach. He ran towards the man-made structure. Crouching down to make as little noise as possible he checked out the area from up the hill. He was on higher ground and having the advantage he fired at the enemy below.

The enemy moved like a scurrying rat. Real Life Hero, grass obscuring his vision, took a blind shot, hitting him once. The enemy ran away and sat in the driver’s seat of a truck. Real Life hero took multiple shots as he drove away. Spotting the car moving up the hill, Real Life Hero slid down to the beach to avoid it. He listened to the car engine as the sound moved farther and farther away. He was at the Loot Lake spot at the center of the safe zone.

He was sprinting back up the hill when an enemy fired at him from behind. Before he had time to think what his next move should be, another enemy a few meters ahead of him littered him with bullets using an MK-Seven Assault Rifle. He fired back. It was not enough. Real Life Hero was dead.

Until tomorrow.
